HOLIDAY LOOK 2 – VELVET

Let’s continue this Holiday Season Series with my Look 2 – Velvet.

 This beautiful fabric was very much in style last year but it still going strong again this year just in time for the Holidays!

Velvet is amazing – it brings a richness and sophistication to any outfit whether you choose to wear it as a dress, blouse or even a blazer. I have to admit,  I fell in love with this style last year and since then, I’ve added a few pieces of luxury in my wardrobe.

I have created 3 different looks with 3 different velvet pieces which you can definitely mix & match with things you already have in your closet. It doesn’t have to be bold or colourful, it can also be very subtle and romantic. I chose a few pieces that are truly me, but there are so many versions of it, there is something for everyone! And what I really like about these looks is that you can definitely continue wearing them going into Winter.

LOOK 1 – VELVET BLAZER (left)

This sequin velvet blazer is an art piece of it’s own – very unique and different! Because the piece is such a show stopper, I have paired it with simple basics to let it take centre stage: a pair of denim & a black lace cami with black studded mules. Simple outfit but the blazer adds instant style!

LOOK 2 – VELVET WRAP BLOUSE (centre)

OH EM GEE. This blouse is gorgeous. The pink and red roses print are what sold me to it in the first place – I love those two colours together! I also feel like it has a bit of a romantic flair to it – that’s why I decided to add a bit of edge to the outfit by pairing it with black coated denim and studded ankle wrap pumps. Throw it with some high waisted jeans later on and you have the perfect going out winter outfit!

LOOK 3 – VELVET SWEATER (right)

Ok, now this purple-blue sequin velvet sweater is even more beautiful in person… it shines so bright, it makes me happy every time I wear it! The floral details of the sparkly pink-ish sequins on the sweater are so pretty! This sweater is also super versatile – you can definitely wear it with denim, pants and skirts! For this look, I have paired it with my black pleated leather skirt and studded mules for a fashion and fun look!
