My Favourite Purchases from 2017

At the beginning of a new year, I always love reorganizing and cleaning out my closet. I donate and sale items I don’t want anymore or pieces I haven’t worn in a year.  This exercise helps me make better choices for future purchases and reminds me of what I actually need VS want.

So, for my first blog post this year, I have decided to share with you my all time favourite purchases of 2017! I wore these items repeatedly throughout the year and I am planning on wearing them on repeat in future blog posts in 2018!

Sonix iPhone Case: I was looking for a fun iPhone case for months but nothing was really catching my eye until I fell on this brand! They have really cute and original designs but they don’t come cheap!

Midi Dress: This is probably my favourite dress of all time! I just can’t seem to get enough of floral prints! I literally have an obsession. Ha! I wore this dress many times last year so my Cost-Per-Wear was really worth it! It’s such a versatile dress, you can wear it to work with heels or on the weekends with flats. Love!

Tassel Earrings: After seeing those earrings almost everywhere last Spring, I finally got a pair for my birthday! They are beautiful! I loved them so much that I purchased a second pair in a different colour.

Eyeshadow Palette:  When I found out that they were releasing a new Chocolate palette in time for Christmas, I was excited! I already own a few of the previous palettes from this collection, so I was curious to see it! Wow. Amazing. And it smells delicious.

Frilly Blouse: Delicate and feminine, this blouse has a little Victorian flair to it. I love the black lace trim and I am obsessed with the pastel floral print. It’s just so pretty, I can’t get enough of it. So many possibilities on how to style it! And I already know, this cute blouse will make its way into my Spring wardrobe, no doubt about it!

Pearl Sandals: When I saw those pearl sandals last Summer, I almost fainted. I mean, who wouldn’t want pearls on their shoes? As they were making their way onto clothes and shoes, and I just couldn’t ignore the trend any longer. I am excited to take these babies out again in the Spring and pair them with denim shorts, jeans and dresses!

Velvet Booties:  Velvet booties are everywhere right now. At first, I wasn’t sure if I would like the trend but it slowly grew on me.  I have to admit, I own a few pairs already but this is by far my favourite one. It goes well with everything: grey denim, a velvet dress, leggings… And what can I say about block heels? I’m already obsessed.

Pleated Skirt: This skirt is just perfect: perfect length, perfect colour and perfect cut. I love it and wore it a lot last Summer/Fall. It looks fabulous with booties and sandals. It’s my favourite colour of 2017. Seriously. I already know this skirt is staying in my closet and will make its way into my wardrobe when the sun will start shining again. Can’t wait!

Lipsticks: I have always loved bright coloured lipsticks. But last Fall, I really got into the nude shades. I received this cute little package of 4 lipsticks and fell in love with the texture and colours which are creamy and beautiful.
