Québec City

I love long weekends. I mean, having one extra day makes all the difference in planning a little getaway!

Québec City was the destination of choice. Haven’t set foot in this city for years, I was a little excited about the upcoming weekend and I wanted to do it all! Playing tourist by visiting and walking around Old Québec and pretending I have never done this before!  This city is known for their awesome patios and gourmet restaurants, their rustic and ‘European Streets’ made of cobble stone, their historical sites and that ‘French Feel’ which I can totally relate to being French myself 🙂

I just knew I would have a blast and my three-day stay would be amazing!

While researching hotels, I started thinking about the clothes I was going to bring. Will it be warm during the day and chilly at night? Possibly. The city is located right beside the Fleuve St-Laurent which means it could be windy and cool as the sun goes down. And, as we begin the month of August, the evenings are getting cooler so I thought it was a great idea to bring more clothing options for this changing weather.

My trick to pack smart? Bring attire that works as double duty. ‘Double what?’ (you might be thinking!) In other words: clothes you can wear for DAY and NIGHT. That way, you can mix and match your outfits and it also saves you space in your luggage, in case you want to bring back a souvenir… or two 😉
