The Summer Romper

I think every girl needs a romper in their closet. I mean, every girl should own a romper. If you are more like me and already possess one or two in your wardrobe (ok…more like five or six but who’s counting, right?), you are with me sister! But if the ‘romper world’ is an unknown territory for you, then girl, I am here to help.

Rompers can be a little intimidating at first. I remember asking myself some questions before purchasing my first one:

‘How does this thing go?’
‘You want me to fit into THAT?’
‘How do you take this thing off?’
‘How am I supposed to go to the bathroom?’

But once you get the hang of it, I think it’s a piece you will enjoy wearing all summer long on repeat. It’s so easy to just throw on and go, you don’t even have to bother thinking about mixing and matching your outfit before stepping out the door. What I also really like about rompers is that they are surprisingly very versatile… you can dress them up with a pair of heels for a night on the town or wear them in a casual way with flat sandals for daytime activities. And the big plus is that there are so many different styles to choose from for every body type! (Hooray!!) Sounds like a dream, eh? No wonder it’s almost impossible to just settle for one!  They are also super comfy and breezy when the humidity hits 40+ degrees during our Canadian summer months.

In a nutshell, here is what you should remember when shopping for a romper:

1. Find one that fits your body type: opt for sleeves or try a new ‘of the moment’ style with the off-the-shoulder look;
2. Buy one that is not too tight and not too loose – try a bunch on so you’ll know what works for you and what is flattering;
3. Choose a style that is versatile and fits in with your lifestyle.

And the most important thing? Find a romper that makes you feel good!
