Pastel Hair

A few months ago, while visiting my hairdresser for my regular hair appointment, he asked me casually while discussing how ‘blond’ I should dye my hair: ‘so, what do you think about going pastel?’ Excuse me? I mean, I knew it was super ‘in’ right now in the hair department but going pastel on me? Yikes! I am a super adventurous girl when it comes to hair and I do change them all the time but I was afraid pastel hair would make me look like a teenager or a unicorn!

After thinking about it and discussing it further, I decided why not. So, my next appointment was my first of many more to come of stepping into the pastel hair world. And I am so glad I did. I love it! Although, I have to admit, it is quite expensive, time-consuming (hours in the hair salon chair), and it consists of washing your hair in cold water (yes, cold water!), the downfall is that it doesn’t stay on forever and washes out between a week or three… if you are lucky.

But that feeling you have when you step out of that hair salon in your new unicorn hair colour is magical!

Will I continue dying my hair pastel in the future? I don’t know. Time will tell. But one thing I know is that my hairdresser and I already started exchanging ideas on my next hair colour. Stay tuned to find out!
