STAY-AT-HOME V-DAY LOOKS

We all know that Valentine’s Day will be very different this year because of COVID.

Usually, I love to put on a fun dress and go out on V-Day but honestly, with all the restaurants still closed in my city, this will not be an option.

So, for my V-Day looks this year, instead of buying a new dress that I won’t be wearing for obvious reasons, I have decided to create different looks with pieces I already have in my closet. The main focus will be these two items: a pink blazer & a pink satin skirt.

Some of these pieces are still available (which I will be linking below) while others are a bit older so in that case, I will link similar items for you to be able to recreate these looks.

Are you ready? Let’s do this!

BLAZER (SIMILAR STYLE, BUDGET FRIENDLY OPTION) | LEGGINGS (SIMILAR STYLE) | PEPLUM TEE (SIMILAR STYLE, LOVE THIS ONE TOO) | RED SHOES (LOVE THESE, BUDGET FRIENDLY) | DRESS (SIMILAR STYLE) | BOOTIES (SIMILAR STYLE, ANOTHER FUN OPTION) | GRAPHIC TEE (SIMILAR STYLE, LOVE THIS TANK TOP) | JEANS (SIMILAR STYLE) | SNEAKERS (SAME, BUDGET FRIENDLY OPTION)

PINK BLAZER

LOOK 1Leggings

For the first look, I’ve paired my pink blazer with gingham leggings and a peplum tee for a casual yet professional look. This outfit is great if you are working from home as it combines comfort and style all in one! I’ve also added a pair of red shoes to add a bold touch.

Style tip: the idea here is to style your blazer with something comfortable and work appropriate. A simple blouse and trousers would also work for this look.

LOOK 2 – Polka Dot Dress

My second look is all about styling my pink blazer by pairing it with a fun polka dot midi dress and edgy ankle boots. Something about this look that screams comfortable yet trendy at the same time and I’m all here for it!

Style tip: you don’t have wear polka dots if you don’t like it or if you don’t have any in your closet. Any other prints would work for this look: floral, stripes, animal… anything that brings life to your outfit would be a good choice! Add a pair of booties and voilĂ !

LOOK 3 – Baggy Jeans

For the last look, I’ve decided to wear my pink blazer with baggy jeans, a graphic tee and classic converse for a more sporty look. These new style of jeans are a bit tricky to wear as they don’t flatter every body type, but if you style them with the right pieces, you can make them work to your advantage! Style them with your favourite pair of sneakers.

Style tip: if baggy jeans is not your jam, you can always go for a straight, flared or cropped leg jeans instead. And don’t forget to style them with your favourite graphic tee and sneakers.

SKIRT (HIGH END STYLE, BUDGET FRIENDLY OPTION, ANOTHER GREAT STYLE) | CROP TEE (SIMILAR STYLE) | SLIDES (SAME, BUDGET FRIENDLY OPTION) | GRAPHIC TEE (LOVE THIS ONE) | LEATHER SHIRT JACKET (SIMILAR STYLE, LOVE THIS ONE TOO) | HOODIE (SAME)

PINK SKIRT

LOOK 1 – Cropped Tee

For the first look, I’ve styled my pink satin skirt with a casual white solid cropped tee and slippers for a stay-at-home comfy look. This outfit is very simple and homey for some low-key celebrations.

Style tip: any solid top such as a sweatshirt or a t-shirt would work for this look and be the perfect balance to this very girly skirt.

LOOK 2 – Shirt Jacket

The second look is probably my favourite look of all three and the one I wear the most! I love styling a graphic tee and toughing it out with a bad-ass faux leather shirt jacket and edgy booties!

Style tip: if you are not into faux leather, a black denim jacket could also work well for this look.

LOOK 3 – Hoodie

The last look is all about updating your stay-at-home outfit game by wearing a feminine skirt with a tomboy-ish sweater, like a hoodie, and sneakers. This look is definitely on the sporty side but better!

Style tip: any type of sweatshirt or hoodie will work! And don’t forget to add your favourite sneakers to finish off your look.
