Wearing white during the winter months will always be a controversial topic which has been for years.
Some people think you should keep your whites for warmer days while others will argue that it’s definitely ok to wear white during winter.
Well, it’s obvious where I stand with this topic (wink) and I have to admit that I love wearing white during the winter months. But let’s be clear on something: the winter whites are very different from the summer whites. You follow me? They come in softer shades such as cream, eggshell and off-white for example. Summer whites are more ‘white-whites’ and vibrant.
In this post, I’ll share with you how I wear my whites on cold winter days.
You ready? Let’s jump into it!

1. CABLE-KNIT SWEATER | 2. SATIN SKIRT | 3. LEOPARD PRINT SNEAKERS | 4. SWEATSHIRT | 5. SKINNY JEANS | 6. POINTY FLATS | 7. CABLE-KNIT CARDIGAN | 8. POLKA DOT SKIRT | 9. KNEE-HIGH BOOTS
LOOK 1
Satin Skirt & Cable-Knit Sweater
For the first look, I’ve styled a light beige A-line satin skirt with an off-white cable-knit sweater. What I love about it is that the lightness of the skirt balances the heaviness of the sweater and creates a very wearable wintery look. I’ve added some leopard print sneakers to make it more casual but you can throw on a pair of heeled booties and you have a work approved outfit!
Style tip: You don’t have to wear a satin skirt if you don’t own one to make this look work. You can wear any skirt in a neutral solid colour (or a light neutral print) and match it with a heavier plain sweater.
LOOK 2
White Jeans & Sweatshirt
This look is my favourite go-to outfit on the weekends! Easy, stylish and just throw-on and go! It’s super easy to pull off and very comfortable. I’ve style some skinny white jeans with a light beige sweatshirt to achieve a monochromatic look. I’ve also added some fun printed flats to add to the outfit but you can definitely wear plain coloured shoes as well!
Style tip: any style of white denim with a white sweatshirt will work here for this look!
LOOK 3
Ruffled Skirt & Sweater Cardigan
For the last look, I wanted to style something fun and flirty. A polka dot ruffled skirt paired with a sweater cardigan is definitely my favourite one! A sweater cardigan is so trendy right now, you can basically wear it with anything but when styled with a bold piece like this skirt, it makes your outfit more wearable and less dressy. I’ve also added some camel flat boots to make it even more casual.
Style tip: Wearing a chunky sweater cardigan with a girly skirt is a great way to dress it down.
