HOLIDAY LOOK 2 – RED & BLACK

Let’s continue my Holiday Series with Look 2 – Red & Black.

For me, Christmas is all about wearing red.
You don’t necessarily have to wear an all red outfit, sometimes just a touch of this bright hue is all you need to make you look festive!

In this second post, I have created 3 different looks with red pieces from my day-to-day wardrobe. Got a fun red floral blouse, a red blazer or a red skirt in your closet? Great! Grab what you already have and maybe add an accessory or a new piece of clothing to complete your ensemble.

Creating your Holiday outfit doesn’t have to break your piggy bank. There are really great pieces out there that are budget friendly! Sometimes, just adding a touch of red lipstick is all you need to elevate your all back attire!

So without further ado, let’s jump right into my looks 🙂

LOOK 1 RED BLAZER

For the first look, I added a red blazer to my all black outfit. This pop of colour instantly elevates my look and makes it more festive! If you love black and want to wear an all black attire during the Holidays, be my guest!

My suggestion?

Just add a little something red to make it look less serious. I chose a red blazer. You can add a pair of red shoes or even a red bag! A red cardigan would also look bomb! Anything goes and there’s no right or wrong answer. Wear what makes you feel good.

This look is great if you are going somewhere that requires a more dressed up outfit.

LOOK 2RED FLORAL BLOUSE

If you have been following me for a while, you must know by now that I looooove florals. I am actually obsessed. HA!

So, for this second look, it’s no surprise that I chose to wear a printed blouse (you can also do a solid colour if you prefer), paired with black pants and shoes and voilà! You have an Holiday outfit. This one is by far the most simple look to create and easy to wear for almost any occasion.

This look works well if you are heading to your parents for dinner or a brunch with the fam.

LOOK 3 RED PRINTED SKIRT

For the third and last look, I decided to wear a printed red skirt to switch it up a little! Because I wanted to make the skirt the main focus of my look, I kept the rest of my outfit monochromatic.

This is the trick: when wearing a loud print on the bottom half, keep the rest of your outfit simple and in the same colour range!

This look is awesome to host Christmas Eve and be fashionable.
