VELVET SEASON

If you have been following me for a while now, you will remember that last year, I wrote a post on a velvet dress that I was obsessed about (and I still am!). If you’ve missed it and would like to check it out, I have added the reference down below on my blog 🙂

Fast forward one year later, I am writing another post on this trend as I’m still in love with it especially during those chilly days ahead! January in Ottawa (Canada) is rather damn cold and snowy… and the idea of fun on the ‘fun-meter’ is watching Netflix under a warm blanket. *sigh*

But! Should you have to go out to celebrate a birthday perhaps or gabbing dinner with girlfriends to catch up, I have the perfect outfit for you: a velvet dress.

Yes, I know winter is not easy for us Canadians to wear something other than sweats and hoodies to keep us warm while we hibernate but velvet is a great stylish option during those cold winter months!

I love how this velvet dress keeps me warm but looks chic & stylish at the same time! And, how cute is the bow-tie ribbon at the waist? Adorable! To finish off the look, I wanted the dress to be the main attraction and stand out so I opted for neutrals like these grey velvet booties and this leopard clutch that I can’t get enough of!
