MY TOP 10 LOOKS OF 2018

I can’t believe how fast 2018 flew by… where did the year go?

While I look back at my photos of the year 2018, I feel like I have accomplished a lot and got better at what I am doing. I have evolved as a blogger/influencer over the year because we all know that it can be totally exhausting and draining to swim in a sea of fashion.

I am also very thankful for your comments, your likes & shares and just for stopping by my page. I have made new friends around the world and I am grateful for every new person I had the chance to connect with. Hopefully, in the new year, I could meet all of you in person!

I am dedicating this post to my favourite looks of the year 2018 (not in particular order) and I hope you enjoyed my work this year as much as I did creating it 🙂

VELVET DRESS

Last year, velvet was my new obsession and this dress was by far my favourite one! It’s perfect in so many ways – the print, the cut, the fit, the feel… it’s so sophisticated, chic & fashion forward, I just can’t get enough of it!

I mostly wore this dress during Fall/Winter of last year but I am planning on styling it once again this year!

BOW-TIE BLOUSE

Can I start by saying how cute this blouse is?

After seeing it on sale in-store last Winter, I knew I had to add it to my clothes collection. It was too good to pass up! The blouse is definitely unique with cute details & a mix of different fabrics.

Every time I wear it, it makes me so happy – can you tell? 😉

Also, this photo made it to my Top Best 9 this year so I think you guys liked it as well!

MIDI DRESS

I was looking for an Easter dress last Spring when I happened to fall on this beautiful H&M one for under $50. I am just obsessed with the mix of colours of this dress!

The minty green is so gorgeous & when paired with a light pink bag & neutral booties, I think it looks fresh!

PAPER BAG SHORTS

Paper bag shorts were everywhere last Summer so I had to give this trend a try and to my surprise, I really enjoyed it! I wore this outfit for Canada Day last year in July and it was perfect for the occasion as I remember being super hot outside!

These shorts look great with a cropped top or a cami tucked inside (like I did in the photo) and sometimes, shorts can make you feel ‘restricted’ or uncomfortable when you sit down so I always size up to be more comfy 🙂

WRAP DRESS

This is my favourite photo of 2018. I love everything about it! The dress, the bag, the wall… e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g!

The wrap dress was the it dress of the Summer! I find that they can be a bit tricky to wear sometimes but I think you just have to pick the right one for your body type. I even go up a size if I have to just to have more room to move around and be comfortable.

BLAZER & DENIM

I am a blazer girl. I’ve always loved blazers. I think it adds instant style to a rather simple outfit. Although, I’ve played around with my blazers during the year, I found a soft spot for blazers & denim shorts… I just love the look of them together! It was definitely my go-to outfit of the year!

PLEATED SKIRT

I have always loved a good pleated skirt. There is something about them that I really like. And this one, even though I’ve had for a couple of years now, has always been my favourite! The colour of it is soooo gorgeous!

I got so many responses & comments when I posted this pic that I think you guys really liked it as well.

Can’t wait for Springtime to take it out again!

STRIPES

Ok. Stripes. Where do I start? This was such a huuuuuge trend last year, I was completely obsessed with it! I wanted to own stripes in every type of clothing: dresses, rompers, tops, shorts…

This romper was on my wishlist for quite some time and when I happened to see it in-stores during my road trip, I fell in love with it! It’s even more gorgeous in person!

This is probably my favourite purchase of the Summer and I am just super excited to wear it again this year!

LEOPARD

I have always loved the leopard print and have accumulated a few pieces that I really like throughout the years, but last Fall, it was literally the biggest trend of the season! (I will share a post strictly on leopard sometime soon!)

And what I really enjoyed about the trend this time around is that it came in different colours schemes like this dress. I think it brings the print to a whole new level and I really like it.

This dress is super fun & versatile and I have styled it many different ways over the last season & that’s what I called a great buy!

PLAID

OBSESSED.

Love this print so much & was so happy that it was everywhere over the Holidays! I have created these 3 looks in December and I am planning on wearing them again this Winter!

There are so many styles & colours of plaid out there that I really think the trend will take us into Spring with softer colours! Wouldn’t that be great?
