For the last month of Winter, I have decided to make the most of it and wear my plaid shirts on repeat on the weekends. As March is a very moody month here in Ottawa, it’s a bit difficult to plan outfits in advance: some days feel like Spring and it’s nice and warm while other days, you feel like Winter is back. So in my mind, plaid shirts are ALWAYS a good idea to transition from those cold days to those warmer days ahead. You can easily dress it up with a leather skirt or dress it down with denim like I did in the photos below.
I have noticed I don’t wear plaid as much in the Spring time (probably because I go absolutely crazy for flower prints and bright colours!) but this print is my go to otherwise for casual weekend wear. And what’s not to love about a good old black and red check shirt! It’s definitely a classic and I personally think everyone can pull it off.
