For me, Spring has always been my FAVOURITE season! Colourful and look-at-me prints, primary colours and vibrant hues, I have always been super excited to take out my most colourful garments and start wearing every colour of the rainbow. And I love it.
But I started noticing, at the beginning of the season, all those ‘earthy’ tones (that I safely put away until the colder months return) to slowly appear in my favourite shopping destinations. What!? Taupe, aubergine, plum, teal… and even cooper. Did I miss something here? Did we skip a season…or two?
I told myself to be more open-minded about this new ‘trend’ for Spring/Summer this year and to give it a try by mixing and matching these ‘Fall’ colours with what I already own. To my big surprise, and I have to admit (umhum), I kind of liked it. A lot. These autumn shades have a little bohemian vibe and a cute summer festival flare. I mean, I am a very colourful person to begin with (and I still love my Spring colours!) but adding these calm earthy tones to my already very colourful and loud wardrobe was refreshing and inspiring.
